Key Responsibilities
* Drive engaging and inclusive learning experiences, designing and delivering high-impact lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learners.
* Architect a student-centred environment that fosters independent thinking, creativity, collaboration, and academic confidence, leveraging a range of instructional strategies to support mixed-ability learners.
* Lead the assessment and feedback process, utilizing various methods to evaluate student learning and providing timely, constructive, and actionable feedback to inform instruction and promote progress.
* Manage student progress, identifying areas of support or intervention, and maintaining accurate records of attendance, assessment, achievement, behaviour, and progress to inform data-driven decision making.
* Champion student development, promoting academic, social, emotional, and personal growth, and addressing classroom concerns in a professional and proactive manner.
* Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians, communicating effectively regarding academic performance, behaviour, progress, and wellbeing, and participating in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
* Contribute to curriculum development, collaborating with colleagues to design and refine schemes of work, resources, and assessments that drive teaching quality and student outcomes.
* Support school-wide initiatives, including clubs, events, duties, examinations, and co-curricular programmes, and guide Assistant Teachers in day-to-day classroom practice to ensure seamless delivery of instruction.
* Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, adhering to school policies and procedures related to safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, health and safety, discipline, and professional ethics.
* Embody a growth mindset, embracing opportunities for professional growth and development, and undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership to drive academic excellence.
