Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead process optimization initiatives, leveraging time and motion studies to establish precise Standard Minute Values (SMV/SAM) for enhanced operational efficiency.
* Architect and implement operational guidelines, including Operation Bulletins, sewing layouts, and line layouts, to drive productivity and quality.
* Drive line balancing, capacity planning, and manpower optimization to achieve target efficiency levels and reduce waste.
* Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement method improvements, simplifying styles and reducing SAM without compromising quality.
* Streamline factory layouts, machine placement, and material flow to minimize WIP and throughput time, maximizing overall efficiency.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including line efficiency, operator efficiency, and factory productivity, to inform data-driven decisions.
* Develop and track monthly trends in productivity, capacity utilization, and incentives, setting benchmarks and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
* Provide actionable insights and data to the merchandising team, including CMT estimates and labor cost projections, to support accurate order costing and negotiations.
* Design and deliver efficiency reports, improvement plans, and presentations to top management, highlighting key achievements and areas for growth.
* Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma initiatives to eliminate waste and drive cost savings.
* Drive the adoption of automation technologies, such as auto-cutters, CAD/CAM, and ERP/RFID, to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs.
* Research and evaluate new machinery, technologies, and Industry 4.0 solutions, conducting cost-benefit analyses and ROI calculations to inform strategic investments.
* Develop and implement incentive schemes tied to productivity and skill matrix, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
* Lead, train, and mentor cross-functional teams, including IE executives, production supervisors, and junior staff, on best practices, SOPs, and IE tools.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Production, PPC, Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Maintenance, and HR, to ensure seamless order execution and drive business growth.
* Support new style development, pre-production sampling, and R&D activities, providing expert guidance and process optimization expertise.
* Conduct audits of IE activities, operation bulletins, and layouts across multiple factory units, ensuring compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement.
