* Spearhead product development from conception to shipment, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery. * Drive sourcing and procurement of trims, accessories, and fabrics, leveraging perfect costing principles to optimize pricing and negotiation strategies. * Oversee the entire production process, from fabric consumption and knitting to dyeing, sewing, and shipment, ensuring efficiency and quality. * Architect competitive quotation processes, identifying suitable sources and negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor sample development, production, and buyer requirements, ensuring alignment and compliance. * Facilitate technical clarifications with buyers, providing timely and effective communication to resolve queries and concerns. * Lead the review of fit and pre-production samples with the garment technical department, ensuring that all key comments are addressed and implemented. * Develop and manage purchase orders, internal orders, and costing sheets, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. * Generate weekly progress reports, tracking order status, and proactively informing the head of merchandising of any exceptions or issues. * Foster strong relationships with production, quality, and commercial departments, ensuring coordinated efforts and on-time shipments. * Prepare and analyze production reports, internal orders, and costing sheets to inform data-driven decisions. * Utilize software to update information, maintain accurate records, and ensure data integrity. * Implement robust filing systems, maintaining organized records of all orders and developments. * Conduct regular factory visits to various locations, ensuring compliance and monitoring production processes. * Embrace adaptability, taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by management to drive business growth and success.
