Position SummaryThe Head of Nursing will serve as the senior-most nursing leader, responsible for strategic direction, clinical governance, and operational management of all nursing services. This role requires a visionary leader capable of driving quality, enhancing patient outcomes, and aligning nursing practices with international standards and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership for the planning, development, and execution of nursing services• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care across all clinical units• Establish and enforce nursing policies, protocols, and evidence-based practices• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and performance management of nursing staff• Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., JCI, ISO)• Develop and implement continuous professional development and training programs• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence• Partner with senior management and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency• Drive process improvement, digital transformation, and innovation within nursing operations
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification• Valid professional nursing registration• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role• Demonstrated expertise in oncology nursing is highly desirable• Strong understanding of hospital accreditation standards and clinical governance frameworks• Proven leadership capability in complex healthcare environments
