Key Responsibilities

* Drive end-to-end garment order management, from product development to shipment execution, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and profitability. * Lead cross-functional teams, including design, R&D, production, and quality control, to achieve business objectives and exceed customer expectations. * Foster strong relationships with international buyers, serving as the primary point of contact and negotiating contracts, pricing, and specifications. * Architect product development and sourcing strategies, overseeing sample development, fabric sourcing, and accessory procurement. * Manage production planning, monitoring progress, and resolving delays to ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and timelines. * Develop and implement costing and profitability strategies, preparing detailed garment costing sheets, calculating fabric consumption, and negotiating with suppliers. * Oversee shipment execution, coordinating with logistics and commercial departments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with export regulations. * Lead and develop high-performing teams, supervising junior merchandisers, providing training and guidance, and allocating orders to drive performance and growth. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including design, production, and quality control teams, to drive business results and improve processes. * Analyze order feasibility, conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations to optimize production and minimize costs. * Ensure compliance with quality standards, monitoring production progress, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality products.

Experience

5 to 8 years

Skills

Strong knowledge of garment production processesExpertise in costing and consumption calculationExcellent negotiation and communication skillsStrong leadership and team management abilityAdvanced MS Excel and ERP knowledgeProblem-solving and decision-making skills

Education

  • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Textile Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, or Business Administration

Additional Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in garment/apparel merchandising
  • Experience handling export buyers independently
