* Spearhead the design and development of innovative furniture products that align with market trends, customer needs, and business strategies, ensuring they are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and cost-effective. * Architect product designs using cutting-edge software such as AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, and Adobe Creative Suite, and create prototypes, card models, and sketches to bring concepts to life. * Drive the review and refinement of furniture layouts and specifications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and optimal space functionality. * Foster strategic partnerships with vendors to source high-quality materials and ensure product consistency with market trends and business objectives. * Lead the creation of furniture designs that support merchant line plans, assortment strategies, price points, and overall creative direction, and provide solutions to improve manufacturing schedules, costs, and quality. * Stay engaged throughout the sales cycle, from concept to order placement, and conduct market research to stay current on trends in case furniture, finishing, wood species, and hardware. * Develop presentation boards that align with seasonal concepts and brand direction, and design products and collections that meet business needs and market demands. * Manage and participate in product development meetings, ensuring a clear understanding of project scope, deliverables, and timelines. * Leverage expertise in furniture application and interiors to educate clients on current workplace trends, colors, and finishes. * Conduct technical feasibility studies to assess materials, production costs, and durability of furniture designs, and collaborate with production teams to ensure practical implementation. * Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, marketing, and sales, to select raw materials, develop design concepts, and troubleshoot design challenges. * Ensure all product designs meet local furniture industry standards, and manage product development timelines to ensure on-time completion of projects. * Maintain detailed documentation of designs, modifications, and product performance, and provide reports with recommendations for improvement.
