Dairy Extension Officer

* Drive the implementation of a sustainable and productive dairy value chain model in southwest Bangladesh, leveraging expert support to plan, execute, and monitor project activities. * Develop and manage detailed annual work plans, targets, and budgets for field activities, ensuring alignment with project components and objectives. * Lead the mobilization of farmers and establish collection center-centric farmer clusters in collaboration with Pran Dairy and relevant stakeholders. * Architect and implement programs that promote sustainable practices in the dairy sector, focusing on climate-smart and resource-efficient on-farm dairy models. * Foster close coordination with other team members of Solidaridad Network Asia in Bangladesh, ensuring seamless project execution and knowledge sharing. * Manage project reporting, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and lessons learned to the Programme Officer-Dairy of Solidaridad Network Asia. * Drive the development of a business case for green dairy farming, reducing GHG emissions in the value chain, and creating a scalable model for private sector and government adoption. * Empower dairy farming households to increase their resilience, focusing on income growth, female farmer empowerment, and climate adaptation. * Collaborate with stakeholders to develop policy guidance for sustainable dairy practices in Bangladesh, ensuring a green transition of the dairy industry. * Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, including the increase in income for dairy farming households, control of income by female farmers, and reduction of emissions in the dairy value chain.
