Sr. Designer & Product Developer

Job Summary The Designer & Product Developer is responsible for translating global fashion trends into commercially viable, on-brand products that meet buyer expectations for design, fit, quality, cost, and delivery. This role manages the product journey from concept through proto-sample approval, working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and buyers. Job Responsibilities• Researching global trends, color palettes, and silhouettes to suggest newness to the buyer.• Creating "line plans" and mood boards that align with the brand’s identity.• Design development based on the trend & ensuring the final "look" of the garment that meets the buyer`s standards.• Developing comprehensive Tech Pack that include detailed sketches.• Adjusting designs to fit a specific "price point" without sacrificing the look (value engineering).• Collaborating with the pattern-making team to ensure the "fit & shape" is correct.• Identifying the right suppliers for innovative trims.• Working with the Textile Innovation Centre to input the trend & design/function into the fabric innovation.• Monitoring the "Time and Action" (T&A) calendar to ensure the collection meet the deadline.• Explaining complex design details to the sample to avoid errors during sewing & Overseeing the development of Proto-samples to ensuring the final product adheres to the benchmarking standards.• Presenting designs directly to buyers and stakeholders.• Guiding junior designers and developers in technical skills and industry software.• Reviewing post-season quality scores to identify areas for technical improvement in future collections.• Showroom management.
