About IT MagnetAn Australia-based company (20+ years) working with clients like Nestlé, Qantas, Telstra, now evolving into an AI-first engineering organization.Job Responsibilities/Context We are building an AI-first engineering culture where developers move from idea → MVP → production rapidly using AI tools.Applicants’ commercial AI experience is advantageous. However, we will also seriously consider candidates without commercial experience who can demonstrate deep, hands-on, self-taught AI skills.This role is not about a specific language — it’s about being an AI-native engineer who uses tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot as the primary development interface, focusing on architecture, system design, and integration while AI handles much of the implementation.Job Responsibilities• Build and ship production-ready applications rapidly using AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) • Master prompt engineering, context engineering (.cursorrules, MCP), and agentic workflows • Develop AI-powered systems using RAG/CRAG, LLM integrations, and multi-agent architectures • Architect scalable APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven services (any modern backend stack) • Design and deliver clean, polished front-end applications using React or Angular • Ensure strong UI/UX quality — avoid generic AI-generated interfaces • Take ownership of AI-generated code quality (SOLID, security, maintainability) • Implement secure systems using standards like OAuth2 and OpenID Connect • Deploy and manage applications using AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines • Continuously experiment with and adopt the latest AI tools, workflows, and engineering practices
